Car Insurance Question  Does New Jersey allow for one year auto insurance policies?

Auto insurance is mandatory in New Jersey if you drive a vehicle. The type and costs of car insurance coverage can vary depending on the types of insurance coverages that you choose to purchase.

NJ law requires liability insurance minimums of 15/30/5. These limit amounts stand for $15,000 per injured person for a total of $30,000 for all people hurt in one accident and $5,000 for property damage from one incident. Personal Injury Protection (PIP) of at least $15,000 is also required.

You can buy optional insurance of uninsured/underinsured motorist coverage for bodily injury caused by an uninsured driver. Collision and comprehensive are other optional coverages that can be purchased in New Jersey for your vehicle.

New Jersey, as most states, allow for a one year auto insurance policy to be purchased. Most insurance companies offer a 6 month or 1 year, annual, policy. You can start now shopping for your New Jersey insurance policy by getting an affordable car insurance quote.
