In Utah, no-fault insurance must be maintained on all passenger motor vehicles throughout the vehicle's registration period if: you, the owner/operator, is a UT resident or if the owner/operator operates a vehicle that has been in Utah for 90 days or more during the preceding 365 days. All motorists must carry proof of insurance and present it to any law enforcement officer upon request. Utah law requires liability limits of 25/50/15. These numbers stand for $25,000 per person for bodily injury, $50,000 per accident for bodily injury and $15,000 per accident for property. The no-fault law of Utah also requires motorists to buy a minimum of $3,000 in personal protection injury (PIP). This coverage basically will pay for your medical expenses in case of an accident.
