My license have been revoked for not submitting a medical clearance. The doctor has since submitted the claim to the DMV and it is now before the Medical Advisory Board. I need to insure my vehicles but am not certain if this is possible while having a revoked license. Will I be able to obtain car insurance with a revoked license in Florida?

In Florida, as in most other states, it can be difficult if not impossible to receive insurance if your license is revoked. If you are able to find an insurance company to start a policy for your vehicles while your license is revoked, they will likely require you to obtain a full valid license within 30 days.

While you are waiting for medical clearance you can shop around for insurance. If you are unable to find any insurance companies to fit your needs try contacting the Florida Department of Financial Services to see if their consumer division can help you.

Another option is if your vehicles have a co-owner than that person might try to get insurance on the vehicles under their name while you are waiting for the decision from the medical advisory board.
