I got a ticket in Wyoming and am a resident of CA. The ticket was for speeding (85 in a 75). Will this show up on my license?

Wyoming and California are both members of the Drivers License Compact. The members of this agreement are to report violation convictions back to the home state of the licensed driver. So the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) will send onto the CA DMV information regarding your out of state speeding ticket.

California notes on its violation point assessment list that an out of state speeding ticket is a one point offense. This is put on your CA motor vehicle record. Once it is on your driving record, it could possibly affect your insurance rates depending upon your insurance company's rating system.
