Florida and Illinois are both members of the Drivers License Compact so Illinois should report to FL this speeding ticket you received. Florida's Highway Safety and Motor Vehicle Department (HSMV) notes that if you hold a FL license and receive a ticket in another state, they will find out and the ticket information will be added to your ticket.
Besides the Illinois speeding ticket being added to your Florida driving record, you will receive points on your license if the ticket is for a point-accessible violation according to Florida Statutes (which speeding is). In Florida it is 4 points for going 16 mph or more over the speed limit.
The Florida HSMV site also notes that FL law does not allow any school or program to remove points for a ticket received in another state. So you will be unable to take a Florida driving class to cancel the ticket or its points.
If Illinois offers you traffic school to dismiss the ticket, than you should check to see if the citation information would or would not be sent to the FL HSMV. Typically if you take traffic school you will still pay a fine and other fees as well as take the driving course. To find out if an IL driving traffic school is available to you, try contacting the clerk of the court listed on your ticket.
