According to the Pennsylvania point system fact sheet, which can be found at the Pennsylvania DOT Driver and Vehicle Services site, it is 5 points for going 26 to 30 mph over the speed limit. The points sheet does not mention a suspension for this type of speeding violation.
If you already have other violations on your driving record though and this bumps your point total over 6 then you will receive a written notice to take a special written point examination. This exam would include knowledge of safe driving practices, knowledge of departmental sanctions and knowledge of related safety issues.
If you are required to take this examination and do not successfully pass it within 30 days then your license will be suspended until the exam is passed. If you do pass the examination within the first 30 day period, PennDOT will remove 2 points from your driving record.
