Car Insurance Question  I live in the suburbs and I go to college in the city, about 20 miles away. I need to have my car on campus for about 3 months. I live in an apartment in the city but my car is registered at my house. Do I need to change the registration of my car to the city, even if its only temporary? I live in Pennsylvania.

You will want to check with PennDOT's Driver and Vehicle's Services but it is doubtful that you would need to change your driver's license address or registration on your vehicle if you are going to live in the city apartment for only 3 months. Typically they want your permanent address on these items and if you will be going back to your house in a few months then that would still be your permanent residence.

Besides finding out what is required of you from PennDOT regarding your registration, you should also contact your insurance company. They will want to be informed if your car is residing or being garaged at a different location then what you have on your policy.
