Under Michigan's No Fault law, you are responsible for insuring your own vehicle against collision damage. With only the state's minimum coverage of PLPD on the vehicle the babysitter was using, you unfortunately do not have collision coverage for the damages your vehicle sustained. The MI mini-tort law though lets you recover up to $500 from an at-fault driver for damages they cause to your vehicle.
More information on this $500 mini-tort amount can be found through the Michigan Office of Financial and Insurance Services, the insurance regulator for the state. If your insurance company or the at-fault party's insurance company is unable to give you full details on how to obtain the monies for your repairs, since they are under $500 limit, try contacting the MI Financial and Insurance Services office for consumer help.
