Car Insurance Question  If I am driving, with my 2 grandchildren in the car and I have a wreck, regardless of who might be at fault, will the children be cover by my insurance?

I am assuming that you are asking if bodily injuries that your grandchildren might suffer in an accident would be covered by your auto insurance. It will depend upon what type of car insurance coverage you currently have if your grandchildren would be covered or not if you were to be in an accident, whether at fault or not.

In general, for you and your grand children to be covered for injuries through your auto insurance you would have include such coverage as personal injury protection (PIP) or medical payments insurance. With these types of coverages normally you, others on your policy and passengers are covered for injuries sustained in an accident, regardless of who was at fault.

If you do not have this type of coverage but bodily injury (BI) liability is required in your state then if you were not at fault in an accident normally the other at-fault party's BI would be the one covering injuries to you and any passengers in your vehicle.

To find out for certain what all your current auto insurance policy will cover regarding you and your grand kids, who travel in the vehicle with you, check with your insurance agent.
