My friend borrowed my truck, drank, and totaled it. I have full coverage and he is an insured driver too. Who's insurance is it going to go on? How is this going to affect me and my husband? Are we going to be penalized for letting him use our truck even though we had no idea he was not planning on going home?

This would be filed under your insurance. As long as you gave permission and there aren't any other policy exclusions then it should be covered.

As the owner of a car, if the person driving it harmed another person's car you may be held responsible depending upon state laws. If you are held liable for the person's actions and your insurance company will not pay out for any claims on your behalf, you may need to seek legal advice on what your options may be.

You shouldn't be penalized by the other person's actions.
