I was at a Florida golf course and hit a ball that hit the windshield of a city police car as it was driving down the road parallel to the fairway. Am I required by Florida law to pay for repairs or should the police department use their insurance?

We are not legal advisers, but it would appear that you would be responsible for your actions.

You may be able to find out if the golf course has supplemental insurance that may allow you to make a claim, but typically golf course owners do not provide this protection.

Good luck. Please comment on how it turns out.
