I lease two cars and have great insurance on both. My fiance uses one of the cars but cancelled his insurance because neither car is in his name. Does he still need insurance or are the cars insured under my policy even though he is driving it? He is not on my policy.

Insurance companies’ guidelines and policy terms differ so you need to check with your specific insurance company to make certain that your fiancé is covered when he drives your cars. You would not want him to get into an accident while operating one of your cars only to find out that he was not covered properly by your insurance carrier.

It is likely that your insurance provider will require him to be added to your policy since it appears that he is driving one or both of your leased cars on a frequent basis.

To get an insurance quote for you, your fiance or the both of you - start here with us for affordable car insurance.
