If you are placing your claim through the at-fault party’s insurance company, which is what you would do in most cases in most states, then you would not have a deductible to pay. The claim would go through the other person’s liability insurance which has no deductible.
If instead for some reason you are placing the claim through your collision coverage, then yes there will be your normal deductible for you to pay. Your insurance company may be able to subrogate with the other party’s insurance company after your claim is paid and may be able to get your deductible back. If you are going through your insurance policy then check with your claims adjuster to see if this will be an option.
