I have a 1995 Volvo 960 wagon that has glass headlights. A stone from a dump truck hit the lens and cracked it. The lens is not broken but the crack is about eight to ten inches long. A replacement unit costs about $200 dollars or so. Is the unit covered under glass replacement, say as if the windshield was hit in the same manner, on my insurance policy with Allstate?

Since insurance companies terms differ you will need to check with your Allstate agent to find out for certain if your glass headlight falls under glass replacement or not. Normally glass replacement refers to the windshield, rear window and side window glass though and is covered under comprehensive coverage.

Allstate has a Glass Claim Express division provides 24-hour service anywhere in the country. If for some reason you are unable to reach your agent you may want to contact this section of Allstate by calling 1-800-626-4527 before replacing or repairing the glass headlight lens on your Volvo.
