For vehicle damage, in most states you should be able to see if the mother’s property damage liability insurance will cover the daughter who hit you and caused the damage to your vehicle. If the insurance company denies your claim since the girl is not on the policy or even perhaps did not have a license or permission to drive the vehicle, then you can place a claim with your insurance company. You would place this under your collision coverage.
If you do not have physical damage collision coverage on your vehicle then you may need to see about taking the driver of the car who hit you and her mother (since she is the car’s owner and parent of the minor operating the car) to court and seek a judgment in your favor for the amount of the repairs.
If you have already placed a claim with your insurance company and are concerned because you have not received a response from them, then call either your agent or the claims adjuster if one has already been assigned to your claim. They should be able to advise you if more information or documentation is needed or if the claim is being processed.
