Alabama and Florida are both members of the Drivers License Compact. This means that the Florida courts will inform Alabama of your out of state speeding offense. Once the Alabama Department of Public Safety receives this information they will likely place the offense on your AL driving record.
You will need to check with the Alabama Department of Public Safety to find out if points will be assessed. If they are, it should be only the 2 points listed on the AL driver license points system for "speeding in excess of posted limits" not the 4 points that Florida would assign to this offense.
You said you plan on playing the ticket if you don't get any points, if you find out that the AL DPS does assign points for out of state tickets then you may not want to plead guilty and just pay the fine, but you will need to take care of the ticket.
Both FL and AL are members of the Nonresident Violator Compact (NRVC). This is an agreement signed by about forty states that addresses the action to be taken in for motorists who do not take care of out of state citations.
Under this second Compact, if you fail to appear or to pay for your Florida speeding ticket, you will have your Alabama driver's license suspended if provided for in Alabama law until the Florida citation is resolved. That is why it is important that you do not ignore an out of state ticket.
