While insurance policy terms can differ, in general if your friend gave you permission to drive her vehicle then her liability coverages of property damage and bodily injury should extend to you when you operate her vehicle.
Some insurance policies have exclusions that would allow the insurance company to turn down a claim so your friend will need to read through her policy and speak to her insurance agent to make sure a claim can be made by the other party for the damages they sustained in the accident you were at-fault for.
Even if you did have your own car insurance, your friend's liability insurance would still normally be primary for an accident since she is the vehicle's owner. If you did have car insurance it would be secondary or excess, meaning it would be used if the vehicle's insurance limits were exceeded by the claims.
