If a car catches fire in the engine, would it be covered under the insurance?

Free Auto Insurance Quotes

Depending upon the cause of the fire it could be covered if you have comprehensive coverage on your vehicle.

Comprehensive coverage is an optional physical damage coverage that normally covers your vehicle, and sometimes other vehicles you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision. For example, comprehensive insurance covers damage to your car if it is stolen; or damaged by flood, fire, or animals. Comprehensive coverage should pay to fix your vehicle less the deductible you choose if the insurance adjuster determines the engine fire is a covered loss under your policy terms.

Car Insurance Related I have only liability insurance on my car. My daughter was driving it today and the engine caught on fire and the car was totaled more or less. She has an SR22 on file, and she told me that her SR22 insures her for any person's car she may be driving at the time of an accident or loss. Is that true? Will her SR22 cover damages sustained to my car because she was the driver?
Car Insurance Related My car caught on fire while the engine was idling. I have full coverage but when the claims adjuster comes out to look at my car in a few days can he deny coverage because of all my aftermarket parts such as CD, amplifier, air suspension, supercharger etc. that required hot leads to the battery? Which the fire department said is where the fire originated. Also if I never did claim them on my insurance policy can I do them now if I have receipts?
