Car Insurance Question  If we give a car to our son and have the title changed to be in his name, can we still carry him and that car on our insurance?

It will depend upon your insurance companies’ guidelines if they will allow you to continue to carry your son and his car on your insurance policy. If your son still resides in your household and the car is garaged there then your insurance carrier may allow this.

Since insurance companies' underwriting rules differ it is best to check with your insurance agent to see if you can carry your son and his car on your policy and if not what options are available to your son.

If it is determined that your son needs his own policy then he can shop for auto insurance here with us.
