Unfortunately most all insurance companies do not look at driving records from outside the US if you convert your license it a State license when moving to the US. Insurance companies tend to only look at a US driving record and not foreign or international driving histories.
This is mostly due to the differences in systems and because there may not be a way in which to verify your previous driving history from outside the United States. Most State auto insurance carriers are only able to use verifiable driving records when rating a potential policyholder. Unfortunately, most international records are unverifiable.
Bring your recent driving history and no claims bonus information if you have it, but also understand that most carriers will rate you as a new driver in the US with no US driving experience and use your date of first license in the United States in the rate and not be able to use information from your no claims bonus to reduce rates. Shop around, because some carriers do not use a driving record as a major factor in their rating system.
