I had an at fault accident, my car had no damage, the other car had $550.00 damage. My deductible is $500.00. Will I have to pay my deductible of $500.00 and insurance pays the balance?

If you are at fault in the accident then normally the other party would place a claim against your property damage liability coverage for the damages to their vehicle. When a person places a claim against your liability coverages neither they nor you pay a deductible.

Your $500 deductible would be for your physical damage coverages of collision and perhaps comprehensive. If you are not placing a claim against these coverages, since you stated that your car has no damages that need to be repaired, then you do not have a deductible to pay.

If you did have damages and placed a claim against your collision coverage then you would pay your $500 deductible. After the deductible amount was paid then the rest of the repair amount would be paid by your insurance company.
