Car Insurance Question  A car ran into the back of my car when I came to a stop at yellow light and told me he thought I was going to run the yellow light. Who is the at fault party?

Ultimately the insurance companies will assign fault for the accident but in general if a person rear-ends another car they are usually found to be at fault.

Even though you might have chosen to drive though the yellow light the motorist behind you should have left enough stopping distance so that if you did slow down and stop, as you did, that they could have stopped without running into your vehicle.
