I have asked my insurance broker to renew my insurance, does that mean the insurance will be exactly the same as last year with no changes? If there was any change, do they have to notify me first?

If you asked your broker to renew your insurance policy as it is then there should not be any changes to the policy. Whether there will be any changes to the rate will depend upon if your driving record and claims history has remained the same or if you have received tickets or submitted claims. Even if these records are the same other rating factors may change the premium amount.

If there are changes to your policy or rates then you should be notified by your insurance carrier. You should receive a copy of your policy so make sure to look it over and call your insurance broker or agent with any questions.

If you have more questions on your policy and if there will be any changes contact your insurance broker since he or she knows the specifics of your policy and premium rates.
