Car Insurance Question  If an injury is sustained such as slamming a finger in a car door, who is primary liability for the medical claims for the injury? Is it my auto insurance or my health insurance through work?

Injuring yourself by slamming your finger in your car door would be a claim to be put through your medical or health insurance.

Bodily injuries covered by auto insurance policies, such as personal injury protection (PIP), medical payments, etc, are those that you receive as a result of a covered auto accident. Slamming your finger in the car door would not normally fall into the category of an injury that would be covered by you auto insurance policy.
