Car Insurance Question  I went somewhere this morning and when I got home I noticed a crack in my bumper and a lot of scrape marks. I am assuming someone hit me. Does this fall under comprehensive insurance since it wasn't under my control? I have no idea what to do, and I have no idea who did it.

You should submit this damage claim to your insurance provider under your physical damage portion of your policy. The claims adjuster will look at the damage and determine if the claim should go through your collision or "other than collision," better known as comprehensive, portion of your policy.

If it was another car that hit you then the claim will normally be put through your collision coverage. Collision covers damage to your car when your car hits, or is hit by, another vehicle, or other object. Comprehensive covers your vehicle, and sometimes other vehicles you may be driving for losses resulting from incidents other than collision.
