My insurance company wants to know how many miles a week my car is driven to/from work or school. I am a stay at home mom, but I do pick up my older children from work a few times a week? Is this considered work use?

Insurance companies’ definitions of work use or miles driven to work places differ so you will need to contact your insurance agent to find out your provider's definition. In general though driving your children to or from work on occasion would not be considered work use.

To find out if this mileage needs to be reported to your insurance company, especially under the description of miles to and from work, check with your insurance agent. If you explain your regularly driving schedule to your agent he or she should be able to advise you what information needs to be placed in your file and which does not.
