Many state insurance regulators have insurance companies' codes listed on their website or can give you information on a code listed on a police report if you call their consumer hotline.

You may also want to call the station or office of the law enforcement officer that filled out the police report to see if they have a master list and can give you the information for insurance code # 148.

If neither of these avenues works you may want to see if your insurance agent can look up the code for you.
