Is it possible to have a title of a car in your name at the age of 17 in Ohio?

According to the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles (BMV) if you are under 18, your parent or legal guardian must complete a minor consent form if you want to purchase and title a vehicle.

A parent or legal guardian must accompany you when you appear in front of the Clerk of Courts title office staff to have a vehicle titled in your name in Ohio. The forms are available at the Title Office.

So in Ohio yes you can get a car titled in your name if you are 17 but you will need a parent or legal guardian to sign forms with you.
