I want to know if the car insurance policy that I have - can I have it only in my name - my husband is now in a nursing home and he is not on the title of the new car I purchased in January.

Yes, you probably should be able to have your auto insurance policy in your name only if the car is titledĀ in your nameĀ and your husband is no longer part of the household.

You should inform your insurance agent that your husband is now in a nursing home and you want the policy in your name only. Insurance companies' guidelines differ so some may require you to exclude your husband as a driver.
