If someone else was driving your car and when you went to retrieve the car, the interior was completed vandalized is this a job for the insurance company even though it was possible the person you allowed to drive the car may have been responsible for the damage to the interior but there are no witnesses to prove your suspicion? A police report was taken. Should I contact the insurance company? I am very concerned because the car is a lease.

If you wish to make a claim under the comprehensive portion of your physical damage coverage for the vandalism done to the interior of your leased vehicle then you should contact your agent or claims department of your insurance provider to do so.

Your insurance company's claim adjuster would then investigate you claim which likely would include things such as getting statements from you and your friend that had borrowed your car and by going through the police report.

For more information on how to go about placing this claim read our article How To Deal With Your Insurance Company Regarding Claims and also speak to your insurance agent.
