I have paid a full years insurance but had an accident and my car is unable to get repaired therefore my insurance has been cancelled. Am I entitled to a refund on the amount I have paid?

Yes, if you paid for a year in full but have canceled the policy due to no longer having a car to insure you should be able to request a refund from your insurance provider for the months of insurance that you paid for but will not be using.

If you are purchasing a new car to replace the car in the accident that cannot be repaired then you may not want to cancel your insurance but transfer it over to the replacement vehicle.
