I am from Iowa, have a license from Iowa, car registration in Iowa, etc. I am going to school in Texas and I was wondering when looking for auto insurance, should I be quoting from my house in Iowa zip code or would I want where I am living at school in Texas zip code?

It will be up to the individual insurance company, but if your residence is in Iowa, you may be able to use the Iowa residence and zip code - since you will be a student away in college and not a resident of Texas.

Some insurance companies will allow a policy for a car that is away at school in a different state while other insurance companies' guidelines may not allow for this since the car will mainly be driven and garaged in another state.
