Though neither Massachusetts or Tennessee are members of the Drivers License Compact both have agreements with other states to exchange information regarding their licensed drivers and violations that they received in other states.
According to the Massachusetts driver's manual, MA has arranged to share driving record and criminal violation information with other states. The RMV driver's manual goes on to say that certain traffic offenses committed by a MA licensed driver in other states will be placed on their MA driving record and treated by the RMV as if the offense had occurred in Massachusetts.
Since the RMV treats most out of state violations as if they occurred in state, then a TN speeding ticket will likely be treated as if it happened in MA and placed on your driving record for your insurance company to see when they next pull your MVR. If this is done then according to the Safe Driver Insurance Plan (SDIP) a minor traffic violation (like speeding) is assessed a 2 point insurance surcharge.
You can find out from the MA Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV) if Tennessee is a state that that they have an agreement with and will receive in information regarding the conviction of a moving violation, such as the speeding ticket you received in Nashville.
