Even though Georgia is not part of the Drivers License Compact, which Florida is a member of, the GA Driver's services has decided it will still send a licensed driver's home state information on a ticket the driver received in Georgia. So yes, if you are convicted of a speeding violation in Georgia the courts there should notify the state of Florida if that is the state in which you are licensed.
The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Services (HSMV) states that if you receive a traffic ticket out of state and they receive information on it, the HSMV will then add the violation to your FL record. You will also receive points as if the offense occurred in Florida.
In Florida 15 MPH or less over lawful speed limit is 3 points and 16 MPH or more over the posted speed limit is 4 points.
The Florida HSMV site notes that FL law does not allow any school or program to remove points for a ticket received in another state. So you will be unable to take a Florida driving class to cancel the GA ticket or its points from your driving record.
