If my car registration is suspended in South Carolina for an accident that I was in and not insured, can I get my car registered in another state?

Since each state has their own laws regarding registration so if there is a state you are thinking of moving to you will need to check with their Department of Motor Vehicles, or like state agency, to find out if they will allow you to register your car there while it currently has suspended registration in South Carolina.

Since your registration is a penalty for driving without insurance in State of South Carolina, and for being involved in an accident as an uninsured driver, many states may not allow you to register your vehicle until your "penalty period" is up in South Carolina and you can get your automobile registration reinstated.

You will likely need to show another state valid registration to change over your car's registration to the new state but once again you will need to check with the DMV of specific state that you are interested in registering your car in to find out what their state laws allow in this situation.

Also keep in mind that since suspension of your SC driver's license is normally one of the penalties assigned for driving without insurance in South Carolina, it may be difficult to register a car elsewhere if you do not have a valid driver's license.
