How do I get a SR-22 separately from my regular car insurance?

You cannot buy a separate policy for an SR-22. If you already have an auto insurance policy with an insurance company that does not or will not file your SR22 for you then you will need to cancel your current policy so that you can purchase a car insurance policy with an insurance provider that will file this financial responsibility certificate for you.
