A recipient does not have to sign the SR-22 form, it is signed by the licensed agent or designated company agent.
The insurance carrier keeps the form, or in our case the electronic file, in their database. Each state has different rules for how the company notifies the state, but typically it is a nightly upload to the Motor Vehicle department.
The named insured has to sign the insurance application or policy agreement to make the policy effective for an SR-22.
