My husband was in a single vehicle accident, he has full coverage insurance and a suspended license for a medical reason. Will the insurance company pay for the damaged vehicle?

You will need to read through the terms of your policy and speak with your insurance company's agent and claims department to determine if they will accept the claim or not.

In general if the coverage was in effect it would be covered by your collision coverage however there may be exclusions in your policy for accepting a claim if the person operating the vehicle did not have a valid license. There is also the issue of his medical condition. If you did not inform your insurance company of the medical condition which caused the state DMV to suspend his license then they may be able to deny the claim due to the omission of this medical condition to the insurance company so they could be aware of the risk.

To get specific answers about your insurance coverages and if this single car accident will be covered again we recommend you contact your insurance agent and discuss the issue. If the medical condition that caused your husband to get his licensed suspended was an issue you will need to inform your insurance provider of this.

To find out if there are state laws regarding your particular situation you can contact your state's insurance regulator.
