A representative for the Georgia Department of Driver Services (DDS) stated that according to GA Code 40-5-57 that points related to a conviction of a speeding violation remains on your driving record for 24 months (2 years).
The DDS also stated that the actual violations remain on your record indefinitely. So the speeding violation conviction will remain on your driver's history permanently.
If you contact the GA DDS for a copy of your motor vehicle reports (MVR) the representative noted you will find that these are only available for 3 or 7 years.
If you need more information on how driving records are kept in the state of Georgia, contact the GA DDS.
