You would make a claim under your homeowners policy for personal items, such as clothing and golf clubs, stolen out of your automobile.
The standard auto insurance policy does not cover personal possessions that may be stolen out of a vehicle if it is broken into. If a part of the actual car was stolen, something permanently or physically attached (not an add-on like a non-factory stereo), then these parts may be covered by your comprehensive coverage on the vehicle.
If you are going to place a claim with your homeowners for your golf clubs and the clothes that were taken then you will likely need to show receipts to prove the costs of the items.
