It will depend upon state laws and if your Department of Motor Vehicles allows you a "grace period" or has any forgiveness policy for sending in an accident report late.
For example in California the DMV and Department of Insurance both note that if you have had an accident in which anyone is injured or the vehicle damage exceeds $750.00, you must report the accident to the Department of Motor Vehicles within 10 days.
The CA DMV and the form itself note that failure to notify the DMV or untimely reporting may result in the suspension of your driver’s license. As you can see their wording is that it MAY result in the license being suspended so there is the possibility that there may be no penalty at all.
Whether you are in California or another state that requires an accident report to be made within 10 days of the accident date, you may just want to contact the DMV and inform them that the report has not been sent and to find out what the likelihood is of your driver's license being suspended for sending it in late. If you license is to be suspended then the DMV should also be able to advise you for how long the suspension will be.
