It would depend upon if you prevail in contesting the ticket and get it dismissed or not whether you would receive points on your license.
If you fight the ticket and are found innocent of the charge then the speeding ticket should be dismissed and thus not appear on your driving record or be assigned points.
If instead you contest the ticket but are found guilty in traffic court then the speeding violation conviction will be placed on your motor vehicle record and assessed points by your Department of Motor Vehicles if your state has a violation points system.
To learn about your state's points system and if you do accumulate points on your system if there is a way to reduce them, such as traffic school, contact your local DMV.
