New Jersey and Florida are both part of the Drivers License Compact. Members of this agreement report back to a driver's home state the conviction of traffic tickets. So NJ courts will inform the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles about this traffic ticket your wife received (and was convicted of if she plead guilty and paid the fine) out of state.
According to the FL HSMV, if you have a Florida license and receive a traffic ticket out of state once they receive the citation information it will be added to your driving record. You will receive points on your license, if the violation is a point-accessible violation according to Florida statute 322.27.
So, yes if the traffic offense your wife committed in New Jersey is assigned points according to the FL point schedule then she will receive points on her FL driving record. Florida law also does not allow you to take a FL traffic school to remove points for an out of state traffic offense.
