How long does a violation stay on your driving record in Florida? How long can it affect a company hiring me for a driving job?

The Florida Statutes authorizes the Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (HSMV) to establish and maintain the management of driving records. The HSMV notes that convictions reflecting point assessments remain on a customer’s complete driver history record for a period of 10 years from the date of conviction. However, serious convictions (DUI, DUI/Manslaughter, Vehicular Homicide, etc.) will remain on the record for 75 years.

You can contact the FL HSMV to find out how long a specific offense may remain on your FL driving record since Florida Statutes are ever changing and being amended. If any moving violations you have on your Florida driving record stay on for at least 10 years then it would appear that they could affect you during this time period if you are looking at a company hiring for a driving job. It would be up to the guidelines of that company whether offenses on your driving record would affect you getting a job or not.
