I received a speeding ticket in Arizona and I live in California. Will it go on my California driving record, and if so how many points is it? 85mph in a 75mph zone.

California and Arizona are both members of the Drivers License Compact (DLC).This means that if you are convicted of this AZ speeding ticket then the AZ courts will notify the CA DMV of this moving violation.

According to the California Department of Motor Vehicle's violation point assessment listing, an out of state speeding ticket is a 1 point offense on your CA driving record. This normally would get recorded onto your driving record once you are convicted of the Arizona speeding citation.

If this Arizona ticket affects your California insurance rates, follow this link to get a free auto insurance quote.
