According to the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles if your out-of-state driver license or Canadian driver license is suspended or revoked, you cannot apply for a NYS driver license, this does not seem to be an issue to you, only previous tickets that were taken care of.
The NYS DMV goes on to say that convictions you have taken care of in the previous state will not be on your NYS record when you apply for a New York driver's license. So the previous Ohio speeding tickets and accident from your Ohio driving record would not transfer onto your New York driving record.
Keep in mind that when you apply for auto insurance in New York since your NYS driver's license is new and thus your NY driving record does not give an insurer a good snapshot of your driving history they will pull your Ohio MVR. Depending upon how long ago the speeding tickets and total loss of your car were these items may be used to determine your car insurance rates.
