Your dad, and the owner of any other motorcycle that you may borrow, would need to read through the terms of their policy and check with their agent to make sure you were covered without being listed as a rider. Insurance policies differ as do the guidelines of an insurance company so that is why they would need to check with their insurance provider to get specific information.
Since you are a household member then your dad may be required to add you to his motorcycle policy as an additional rider or his insurer may allow him to wait until you get your M2 or full M.
Before borrowing anyone's motorcycle to go on a ride make sure they check with their insurance company and that their coverages will extend to you so you do not put yourself into a situation where you and the owner of the bike can be held liable for damages you cause.
