Both Maryland and your home state of Delaware take part in the Drivers License Compact (DLC). The DLC requires member states to exchange information regarding traffic violation convictions. So points are not transferred from Maryland to Delaware but DE assigns their own points to this out of state offense. Speeding violations in DE are assessed between 1 and 5 points depending upon how many MPH he was cited for going.

Likely there will only be fine in Maryland for you to pay for this speeding ticket.
