Yes, you can have problems if you operate your Florida registered uninsured motorcycle in other states that require motorcycles carry insurance on them.
When you visit other states you are required to follow their laws and if carrying financial responsibility on a motorcycle is one such law you need to abide by it. Normally if one has motor vehicle insurance on a car or bike it will conform to the laws of other states that you drive in so you are covered and thus another state does not cite you for not having their insurance on your out of state registered vehicle. However if they require insurance and you have none, thus in their eyes may not be able to pay for damages you may do to another, you can be ticketed for breaking their laws and driving without insurance.
For example in Georgia state laws require motor vehicle owners and lessees are required to maintain continuous mandatory liability insurance coverage on their vehicle(s) to legally drive the vehicle(s) in GA. Upon conviction of a citation for driving without insurance in GA one can be subject to a fine of not less than $200.00 nor more than $1,000.00 or imprisonment for not more than 12 months, or both.
If you plan to drive into Georgia, or any other state that requires a motorcycle to be insured, with a Florida registered motorcycle you will need to abide by the financial responsibility laws of that state and thus need insurance on your vehicle.
If you have at least FL liability insurance on your bike you should be covered to drive out of state but before doing so you should check with your insurer to make sure there is a broadening clause that allows your insurance coverages to conform to other state's insurance laws and thus cover you when you drive out of state.
Remember while motorcycle insurance is not required to register a motorcycle in Florida if a motorcycle operator is charged in a crash with injuries, then the owner or owner/operator is financially responsible for bodily injuries and property damage to others.
If no liability coverage was in effect for the motorcycle at the time of the accident, then bodily injury/property damage liability insurance must be purchased and kept for 3 years to avoid license and tag/registration suspension or to reinstate license and tag/registration after suspension.
So liability insurance for motorcycle is voluntary and not mandatory unless you have caused an accident but it is highly recommended to be purchased for your protection. If you plan to carry passengers it is also a good idea to see if you need extra insurance coverage for them. Also according to the FL helmet law the state requires helmet use by riders under age 21 and anyone that does not carry a minimum of $10,000 medical insurance coverage
