My car was keyed. I gave a police report and the name of a likely suspect. If this suspect is not found guilty will my insurance still cover the damage as an act of vandalism?

If you have Comprehensive coverage on your vehicle than it should cover this act of vandalism minus the deductible amount you chose for this type of Physical Damage coverage.

If the at-fault party is found and charged with vandalism then you can try instead to get them to pay for the cost to repair the damage done from the keying they did to your vehicle. You may need to take them to court.

If you only have Liability coverage and not Comprehensive and the at-fault party is not found than you would be stuck with the cost of repairs to your car. If you are unsure of what coverage you have with your auto insurance policy read through it and speak to your insurance agent for more information and how to place a claim if you need to do so.
